Lazy days

So, I’ve felt pretty lazy the last couple of days, but that’s okay because during the past week my life has been full of things to do everyday. I observe in a classroom all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and on Tuesday Thursdays I work at the MSC, so I’m not sitting around at home waiting for someone to call me or just staring at my computer aimlessly waiting for something awesome to happen. 

My last semester was pretty good. I started out wanting to have fun and go out to the bars with friends, but after a while I resorted back to my own self and decided I liked sitting on my butt on a Friday night hanging out with people who also like to sit around and talk for hours. My boyfriend and I are still going strong and while he’s the type who likes to go out every weekend, we, well, made it work. 

The school part was great this last semester getting the best GPA I have ever gotten in college. I felt accomplished and happy. 

This semester could have been my least favorite though. Nothing awesome happened. Nothing that made me want to eagerly write down so you all could read it. It was just a good 4 months of my life that nothing exciting happened in. I have two academic semesters left and only one left where I will be learning in the classroom, the other I will be teaching in the classroom. 

Happy 2012 everyone and, well here goes another 4 months of my life dedicated to this thing called education.

Okay, so the Chancellor of Wisconsin Stout just sent everyone an e-mail on Tuesday that explains the new steps they are making to prevent Stout students from excessively drinking.   One of the steps is to make Friday classes mandatory another is to suspend students in some situations regarding underage tickets and such. Getting rid of drink specials and holding landlords accountable for house parties… etc I mean… I really don’t have an opinion on this other then I don’t think this is going to stop people from drinking.  I mean come on, we are in college. But all I really have to say is WHO’S the the idiot who named the group on Facebook??? Way to make Stout look good.
